You can now measure your Instagram performance right from your desktop, and our fresh new design makes it easier to understand your Instagram analytics and optimize your strategy from the Later web app.

Plus, when it comes to Instagram Stories Analytics, you’ll be able to analyze up to 3 months’ worth of Instagram Stories data, instead of just a 2 week time period in the native Instagram app.

Our new Instagram Analytics update is part of Later’s commitment to help small businesses grow their revenue through Instagram marketing, and we have more exciting analytics features to come in the future, too.

Take a look at what you can do with Later’s new and improved Instagram Analytics, available now to Instagram business profiles on all paid plans:

Track Your Post Performance with New Instagram Analytics

Tracking how your posts perform over time is one of the best ways to get more engagement on your account. And thanks to Later’s detailed Instagram post analytics, you can now access key insights about your content directly from your Later dashboard!

When you open the Post Performance tab, you’ll find a comprehensive overview of how your posts are performing, with metrics like comments, likes, impressions, saves, reach, and more.

You can adjust the timeframe to see analytics for posts that were published up to 3 months agoAnd you can also sort and rank your posts across several metrics, like engagement rate, to see what content is and isn’t working for your account.

This is a great way to discover which of your posts are driving the best results for your business.

For example, if you notice that your video posts get more engagement than your photos posts, or that certain types of product photos do better than others, that’s a good indicator that you should focus on creating more of that kind of content.

“I love that I’m able to sort Instagram posts by metric type! Monitoring the individual engagement rates of my Instagram posts is really important to me, so I love being able to see my top posts and the type of content I should focus on.”

– Piera Pizzo, social media manager at Evite

If you want to see more information about a specific Instagram post, just click the Details button to access detailed analytics and performance charts for each post.

Get More Views with Instagram Stories Analytics

With over 400 million people watching Instagram Stories every day, Instagram Stories has become a great channel for businesses to engage with their followers, stay top of mind, and even make sales through stories!

To help you optimize your stories and get more views, we are happy to now offer Instagram Stories analytics with Later. And unlike the analytics in the Instagram app, which only saves your stories metrics for 2 weeks, you’ll be able to analyze up to 3 months’ worth of Instagram Stories with Later! 🎉

With Later’s Instagram Stories analytics, you can track and rank stories by impressions, reach, completion rate, average views per user, and the number of replies each story received.

Note: As an Instagram Partner, Later uses the Instagram API for all Instagram analytics, which does not include data for swipe ups, profile clicks, or sticker taps in stories.

And like your Instagram post analytics, you can also hone-in on your individual stories to learn more about how each of them performed over time. You can learn more about every Instagram Stories metric you need to know here.

Increase Your Engagement Rate with Instagram Analytics

Your Instagram engagement rate is one of the best Instagram metrics to track if you want to find out how much your content is resonating with your audience.

Later’s new Instagram analytics automatically calculates your engagement rate for you, so you can skip the calculator!

Under the Post Performance tab, you can rank Instagram posts by engagement rate to easily see what content is working (and what isn’t), and you can see a snapshot of your most engaging content with your best performing posts in the Overview tab.

One of the best ways to increase Instagram engagement is to optimize your posting times for when your followers are online.

Later’s Best Time to Post feature automatically calculates your top 7 posting times that get the most engagement, and displays these times in your content calendar.

You can also use the location data in Instagram Analytics to pinpoint your top time zones by looking at your most popular cities, and you can even see when your followers are most active on Instagram.

Attract the Right Followers with Instagram Audience Analytics

If you want to get more followers on Instagram, you need to know how to optimize your content so that it resonates with your target audience.

With Later’s Instagram analytics, you can track key insights about your followers, including their age, gender, location, and more

These kinds of metrics are perfect for fine-tuning your content strategy! For example, if you notice that a majority of your Instagram audience are women in their 20s who live in the United States, you can optimize your content to resonate with that demographic specifically.

With Later’s Instagram audience analytics, you can also track when your audience is most active on Instagram and then use that data to optimize your posting times.

By publishing your content when your audience is most active on the app, you’re more likely to rack up a ton of likes, comments, and views on your posts and stories.

Drive and Track Traffic from Instagram with Linkin.bio Analytics

Understand exactly how much traffic you’re getting from Instagram by tracking website clicks and click-through rates in Later’s Instagram Analytics.

You can track website clicks from your Instagram bio over time, and if you’re one of the many businesses using Linkin.bio to drive traffic from Instagram, you’ll also be able to see traffic from Linkin.bio and your average click-through rate.

Another benefit of using Later’s Linkin.bio to drive traffic from Instagram, is that you can also see how much traffic each individual Instagram post is generating.

We’ve integrated Linkin.bio traffic analytics into our overall post performance analytics, allowing you to track clicks at a glance, get detailed data on clicks over time, and even rank your Instagram posts by how much traffic they drove.
