Stay on top of the biggest social media marketing trends!

Instagram Poll stickers are pretty straightforward: they let you poll your audience on your Instagram stories.

This makes them one of the easiest ways to boost your engagement on Instagram and gather instant feedback from your community.

And now, they're about to get a whole new look.

Instagram Tests New Story Poll Sticker Formats

Instagram story poll stickers have remained the same since their launch in 2017.

You can input two poll options for users to choose between, populated with "Yes" and "No" by default.

However, this two-answer format is limiting and doesn't allow for a bigger range of options to choose from.

Which is probably why Instagram's testing an upgrade to the much-loved Poll sticker.

Based on Tweets from users with early-access, the Poll sticker has new text customization tools, plus the ability to add up to four different response options.

This makes Instagram poll story stickers a lot more versatile... and you'll never have to hack the Quiz sticker to meet your needs again.

Not everyone has access to this new upgrade yet – so keep an eye out and hang tight!

  2. Tap the large white circle to take a photo (press and hold to film a video), or select existing media from your camera roll.

  5. Tap the text above the poll to type your question. You can also select the color wheel or "A" button at the top of the screen to customize the text.

  6. Tap each answer to edit the different options users will be able to choose from.

  7. Once finished, tap "Done" in the top right corner to exit the poll editor.

  8. Press and drag to move the sticker, or use a pinching motion to resize it.

It's that simple!

Once your Instagram Story is live, you can check the results of your poll by swiping up on the published story and selecting the eye icon.

Whether you want to collect feedback on your products, crowdsource ideas, or simply entertain your followers, poll stickers offer an entirely new way to engage with your Instagram audience.
